A small lodge in Namibia

You found it! Riverdance is a hidden paradise at the riverbanks of Okavango. Make this eco-lodge your home to relax, enjoy life and explore the incredible Zambezi region, which is completely different from the rest of Namibia.

The Swiss owners Pascale and Chris together with their team make the difference in personal hospitality. We want you to feel at home, experience the local wildlife and culture, taste our excellent cuisine and fall in love with Africa as we did when we first came here.

Please support also our development work for the future of the children of the Hambukushu.

The most amazing feature for me was the bathtub showcasing views of the river. It was a hard life deciding whether I should watch the sunset from the private terrace or bathtub…

National parks and game reserves

Riverdance is the ideal gateway between Etosha Park and the Victoria Falls. But once you are here you will not want to leave any time soon.

Maybe your most beautiful days in Africa

There is so much to do and see. Visit the hippos on a morning river cruise, watch and listen to birds you have never encountered before, relax in the pool, meet the Hambukushu people in the village close by or explore the national parks Mahango and Buffalo on a game drive and come home full of new impressions of the rich wildlife in the Zambezi region, formerly known as the Caprivi Strip.

Learn all about chef Maria's excellent African cuisine.

"The food is outstanding!" We often hear such compliments about the kitchen of chef Maria and her team. Enjoy her three-course dinner together with the other guests at the dining table and share the latest bush stories and adventures over a nice glass of wine. Cheers!

I tell all my clients travelling to the Kavango and Zambezi region, stay some extra days at Riverdance, it’s truly a gem among all the different lodges in Namibia.

Meet the Hambukushu people

All our staff comes from the local villages close by. It is a great experience to pay this Hambukushu community a visit. Learn some words in Timbukushu, chat with the locals, have an herbal tea and see how they manufacture beautiful hand made baskets and other household items.

Or just relax at our little bush SPA

Nothing is better than a relaxing massage after a bumpy safari drive. Our SPA therapist will have the right treatment for you. You will experience pure relaxation. Or just hang out at our swimming pool and think of all the activities you could shoot for on the next day.
